Winyah keeps rock and roll pure with songs like Lot To Learn. The new single honors their influences while adding some fresh youthful vigor. Stylistically we hear an influence of early Kings of Leon or The Libertines. Like them the guitar work is thoughtful while retaining a bluesy edge. The vocal is raw and believable, and the band is tight.

Pool Girl sends a lifeline on Frannie You’ll Be Alright! Cinematically brilliant and full of lyrical imagery, Pool Girl finds a Frannie in a lot of us via the narratives familiar resonance. Stylsitcally she finds some vintage flavor with a rhetoric familiar to Steely Dan within a production style akin to modern indie pop bands like Beach House. We love that vibe.

We dig the epic nostalgic aura heard on Chemicals, the new single from Jordan Summerland. Its the kind of song that feels like a dreamy journey, one connected to some tribal universal thread. Stylistically we think it will connect with fans of Jose Gonzalez or Jeff Buckley. There’s some fair nineties rock traits mixed with an indie rock influence. We love that.

Kennedy Jane Hill caught our attention with her new single We KAN. There’s a candid aura to her writing, like a flush of influence brought to pen in a burst of inspiration. There’s an alt folk edge to her attitude. Stylistically we hear traits familiar to early Arcade Fire, Feist, Daniel Johnston, and Bright Eyes. Yes its that good.
