She’s got a great voice but she’s also bringing a performance. “I want to read a book so people think that I’m intelligent… how come everything I do is never for the hell of it.” Touche. Beautifully relatable during these hyper influenced times and stylistically finding the middle ground between Sam Fender and Boy Genius.

Marie Fjeldsted has a rare exotic voice and she honors it on the sparse arrangement offered on her new single She’s Holding Every Heartbeat In Her Hand. Entrancing with a little rust, Marie doesn’t need a lot to stand out. Her voice is alone is enough to grab you. The lyrics offer some extra imagery to match the visions her voice already delivers. Stylistically we finds the middle ground between Melanie (a vintage fave here) and Norah Jones.

Kamden Freeman flaunts some vintage cool on his new single So What? He adapts that urban rock influence with a wanderers touch, as of Lou Reed wrote a song for Jose Gonzalez. We love that angle.

The tantric sound design is enough to allure you on Bass Goes Round, the new single from Ceitidh Mac featuring Rozi Plain. That sonic detail makes sense too. Mac is different at her core, and the cello and bass arrangement offers some elegant low end textures that compliment eachother wonderously. The vibe finds the middle ground between Sylvan Esso and Raising Sand, the classic Collab between Allison Krauss and Robert Plant. Oh yeah.
