We love the vibrant production and hypnotic vocal part heard on CU, the new single from recording artist willoh. There’s violent contrast in the aggressive drum track. It’s mixed slightly in the red to give it an explosive flare. Beneath the violence a gentle guitar leads the artists sweet voice gracefully through the barrage of drums. Surprisingly the blend works and its totally addictive. Stylistically we think it will connect with fans of Pink Pantheresss and Biig Piig.

Don’t skip the video for City of Thirst, the new single from River. The video is labeled as a video Duology and its another great addition to the artists multidimensional catalog. Everything honors the aesthetic, a brand that reflect an affinity for Twin Peaks and Natural Born Killers. It’s crazy, sexy, and bizarre all at the same time. City of Thirst only amplifies the notion. Click play above to see for yourself.

We dig what we hear from mariek, the solo project from a 24-year-old artist named Maria who is based in Moscow. Deeply influenced by indie rock, dream pop and lo-fi production, she crafts introspective, emotionally-driven songs. Every track is self-written, produced, mixed and mastered independently. She taught herself to play bass, electric guitar and keys so she could make music as a way to connect with someone who might relate to it. Her new song House On The Hill is giving us Boy Genius vibes. We love that!

We love the vibe baked into slipping, the new single from Townsend. Subtle nostalgia lands wildly addictive on this catchy gem. We hear the classic influence of Third Eye Blind mixed with the modern indie pop appeal of The 1975 or Del Water Gap. Its the kind of vibe that lends itself to an energized interpretive dance. It’s a little angst and a lot of fun.

Mice Maze is a vibe. The new single from Two-Hearted could highlight some silent disco. It’s got a dynamic cool feature, one that works in the earliest parts of the day or the latest hours of the night. Its a tempered energy, you can give yourself to it completely or you can refer to it for comfort. We love that contrast. In that way it recalls an influence of Sylvan Esso or The XX.
