Sano Hill may have the song of the summer with his new single, Time Out. An updated version of a demo that first circulated on the “Origin: See the Light” demo album to much critical acclaim, Time Out is a free flowing alt rock track about the desire to become a famous singer songwriter. Sano’s vocals are a gorgeous light tenor with wide expression and range. Comparisons can be drawn to the vocal stylings of Thom Yorke of Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, whose falsetto give the tracks a soulfulness to it that emphasizes the lyrics.

The arrangement is primarily an alt rock jam reminiscent of the 90s and 2000s. The intro and first verse feature primarily acoustic guitars to accompany Hill’s angelic vocals, which expand out to crunchy raucous electric guitars and blaring drums. The full band arrangement creates a wider range of colors to the track and like the story being told is unfolding. The track was produced by Larry Hogan, and mixed by Braddon Williams, a celebrated producer with credits for artists like Beyonce, Mark Ronson and Snoop Dogg.
