Los Angeles based duo Sand Box’s new single, Free, really caught our attention. The track is a funky, distorted rocker that flips the script on American culture and the idea of the American dream with provocative lyrics. The duo is inspired by a wide variety of art forms aside from music, with Kylie Hazzard’s background in film and Cameron Black’s career as a saxophonist.

The track is based around heavy, almost bluesy sounding guitars with raucous drumming and a funky sounding saxophone section. This arrangement really gives the production a unique edge that gives the song a bouncy feel.
