Nick Kandler’s new single, Something for the Weekend, is a real contender for the song of the summer! The Los Angeles based singer songwriter has released his second single for the year, and its a gorgeous track that fits well in a party atmosphere. Kandler’s vocals are light and breathy and compliment the relaxed track perfectly. His vocals draw comparison to many of the pop artists on the radio right now, most distinctly Shawn Mendes and Harry Styles.

The production is spacey and ambient, mostly based on guitar and Rhodes, with some synthesizers in the background. Kandler’s sound is familiar for fans of bedroom pop artists like Rex Orange County and Clairo, who construct lush, watery sonic beds to sing over.
