Intimate and up tempo aren’t two descriptors that we usually pair together on this blog, but “Pale & White” breaks the pattern. This new lo-fi, alt-pop single by humming people is characterized by frenetic rhythms, rich vocal layers, and diverse ambient tones. We hear a little Portishead influence, but there’s plenty going on here that we can’t, necessarily, draw comparisons to. It’s a fresh and confident sound. It’s humming people.

Indie R&B fans will love this new single by Miller Blue! “suicide doors” is a song of contrast. The lyrics communicate a heavy and introspective message, but they’re delivered through a light and hopeful instrumental vessel.
