Fans of SZA and Lizzie McAlpine alike will find plenty to love about this new single by Lydia Samuel! “Intrepid” is a soulful, alt pop slow burn. This song starts with only an acoustic guitar and smooth vocals but develops to include sophisticated percussion and atmospheric tones. Listening to the beginning, you won’t believe where it ends up. “Intrepid” is truly emblematic of a journey.

I love you, trackstar, the highly anticipated sophomore LP by Stinkus, is finally here and the title track is one of our favorites from the project! What impresses us most about this indie pop song is its dynamism. Over a groovy rhythm, the volume shifts from noisy to quiet, the vocals from grainy to crowded, and the instruments from acoustic to electronic. Better yet, Stinkus finds a way to keep the song cohesive around all these artful pivots. We recommend it for fans of artists like Ben Kweller!

We love music that defies categorization. In this new song by B.Miles, “+1,” we hear a little Portishead, a little Flume, some Suzanne Vega, and even a little Billie Eilish, etc. The alt pop tune is dark and jazzy, and it incorporates musical techniques that sound both fresh and timeless. One thing is for certain: it’s unequivocally B.Miles. Be sure to check out Time Doesn’t Heal. It Hides., the full-length project that the song appears as part of!

Excitement for Ananya Ashok’s forthcoming EP builds with the release of her new single “Unrealized Dreams.” Ashok’s style is defined by a unique blend of traditional, Indian music and modern, indie folk delivery. She ties her influences together with careful lyricism and flexible melodies to create songs, like “Unrealized Dreams,” that sound familiar-yet-mysterious. We think fans of Lana Del Rey will feel particularly drawn to the vocals!
