Never before has a song sounded so much like the action expressed in its title. “Run,” the newest single by Forgetmyname, keeps a steady pace while rich, resonant vocals and atmospheric tones float around the available stereo space. We hear a little Cure influence in those guitars, but this song is hardly nostalgic for bygone New Wave. We hear plenty of modernity in the production, and we think “Run” fits well in a category between artists like The 1975 and The Weeknd.

Fans of artists like Tom Misch and/or Daniel Caesar will love this new single by SAMAH. “You Will Find” has everything you could possibly want in an indie neo-soul song: tight percussion, deep bass runs, smooth vocal melodies, and thick, rhythmic guitars. It’s a perfect track to groove to and sing along with. We’re putting it on repeat.

We’re falling for “True Love” by The Quiet One! This alt pop single is characterized by nature tones, bright acoustic guitar strums, wispy vocals, and blooming choruses. The longer the song goes, the denser its ambience becomes; by the end, we feel fully immersed in its warmth. We think it sounds like what might result from a collaboration between Beach House and Taylor Swift.
