The mix sounds saturated and nearly-chaotic at moments, but this works in excellent favor of the song’s natural mood.

In anticipation of their upcoming album, Holy Show, Big Sleep has been on a hot streak. And it’s only getting hotter with the release of “Crude.” This indie rock tune is characterized by an adventurous instrumental arrangement. The guitars, drums, and bass respectively employ a variety of techniques while maintaining the integrity of the song. Melodically, we love how the tension builds to that “I can’t help but wonder why” line. We recommend it for fans of artists like Cage the Elephant.

wåvery proves that less really is “More” with the release of her new single! This song’s spare, acoustic guitar-based instrumental arrangement leaves plenty of room for a talented vocalist to do what she does best: sing! These melodies are as emotionally powerful and technically impressive as you’ll ever hear. And we think fans of artists like Lizzy McAlpine will love the alt pop production style.

Low Girl’s debut album, Is It Too Late to Freak Out?, is here! And “White Gown” is one of our favorite songs on it. This dynamic indie rock song is characterized by frenetic percussion, clockwork guitar melodies, and smooth vocals. It makes experimental use of structuring while it manages to incorporate catchy melodies. And we think it exists well in an atmosphere with artists like CMAT and/or Franz Ferdinand.

We love what we hear in this new single by Air Quotes. “I Stopped Writing Love Songs” delivers classic and pleasant vocal melodies over playful percussion and an active bass performance. This indie pop tune includes scat melodies and solos that bring Bobby McFerrin to mind, but we think fans of artists like Meghan Trainor will feel particularly drawn to it. That being said, the production differs from Trainor’s music in that it has a raw, alt pop grit to it.
