Martin Luke Brown is here with a new, full-length project titled man oh man ! (deluxe), and the first song, “hello !” is smoooooooth. Every instrumental element works in generous service of the song, which is undeniably groovy and hooky. It has everything you could want in an indie neo-soul song, and we think fans of artists like Still Woozy and Omar Apollo will love it. Be sure to check out the fish factory sessions live performance below, too.

Fans of boygenius will love this new single by Lila Holler. “The Way I Am Now” is characterized by a relatively spare-yet-thriving instrumental arrangement. The highlight of the song for us, though, is the vocal layering. Holler’s leads are clear, controlled, and impressive on their own. But the harmonies and background melodies really bring the project to life. And it finishes with a great outro, which we’re total suckers for! Check it out now.

We love what we hear in this new single by Omotola: “Pom-Pom Squad” is genre-bending indie fusion! It combines digital with analog, traditional with modern, and pop with dance in a way that few artists are able to (Björk is the only that comes to mind). We love when artists trust their influences and instincts, and we can see this creative confidence demonstrated in “Pom-Pom Squad.”

Halloween is just around the corner and this new single by American Girlfriend would make a perfect addition to your spooky playlists! “Creepy Doll” is equal parts cutesy and creepy. The melodies have a poppy, childlike quality to them but the obsession of the speaker and the image of the doll give the song an unsettling tone. We think fans of Melanie Martinez and/or Doja Cat will like it especially!
