Emerging indie-pop artist BEST DAD is back with his latest single release, “slow it down,” a mellowed out, infectiously dreamy tune that leaves us wanting more. We love the production quality in this one. The subtle combination of classic indie-rock band with electronic instrumentation is masterful, to say the least. We hear rhythmic synth tones working alongside electric guitars here, wonderfully accentuating both guitar and vocal melody.

The vocal performance is intimate and packed full of emotion, the harmonies are on point, and the groove is exceptional. We hear a mix of Peach Pit and Beach House in this artist’s style, bridging the gap between classic indie-rock instrumentation and fresh electronic dream pop elements.

Foot Ox is back with their newest single, “Bleached Yellow,” an unforgivable catchy and eclectic indie-rock tune chock full of personality and light. The vocal performance is raw and authentic, grabbing our attention from the start with rich harmonies and an incredible production style. We love the instrumentation here as well, with guitar melodies thoughtfully sprinkled throughout the song, adding a pinch of southern twang that we cannot get enough of.

Fans of Warpaint and Wetleg will find themselves right at home with this quirky, inventive take on the modern indie-rock genre. Do not miss out on this massively underrated indie band. We look forward to hearing more.

You need to hear “raining here, too,” the debut single release from the Vassar College based dream folk duo, Dovetail. We love the atmospheric, ethereal nature of this one. With multiple droning synth textures in the background, an array of dreamy electric guitar tones, and an infectiously relaxing drum groove, this song serves as a masterclass in production and performance. The closing instrumental section leaves us satisfied and curious to see what these artists have in store for the future.

Their music draws elements from dream pop, singer-songwriter, folk, and shoegaze to create a unique and captivating sound, featuring intricate vocal melodies and harmonies. We hear similarities to boygenius with this one.
