Jo The Man The Music has released her single “Skinny Dipping.” The track is a strong fusion of genres including Alternative, Pop and even elements of Grunge. The song’s subtle build up and contrasting sections give it a sense of evolution.
The song’s modest opening is a perfect way to start the track so she can shed light on her vocals and catchy melodies. It contrasts the heavier section which is full of heavy gritty guitars and upbeat drums. The arrangement of the song makes it feel like a story is being told with its progressions and climaxes.

“Supernatural Feelings” is a fitting name for The Flints’ new track. The atmospheric soundscape crafted behind the leading funky rhythm makes the track feel endlessly layered. I can’t help but become fixated on each and every sound I hear as they come in various styles and textures.
The use of audio effects like reverb and phasers is the icing on the cake in this song. Without those effects, the textures The Flints were going for most likely couldn’t have been attained to the same extent. Their soft vocals and harmonic approaches are infectious and fit perfectly amongst the psychedelic instrumentation.

Aching Pine’s new song “Allagash!” is out now. The track’s impetus lies in its drums and bass, which work together to act as driving forces that keep the song pushing forward and the energy stable.
Behind the heavy instrumentation and playful synths are banjos and other folk elements that add a pleasantly unique twist to the song that you don’t necessarily expect upon introduction. It’s songs like these that keep music refreshing and give listeners a taste of unique styles they don’t usually hear.

Syd Taylor’s new song “Jane” is a beautifully written piece dedicated to her sister after leaving the band they were in their whole lives. Although through her lyrics we can hear that Syd Taylor is sentimental about her decision, I don’t think her feelings should be mistaken for any regret.
On top of the emotionally driven lyrics about everything from nostalgia to inner peace, Taylor has coated the track with her catchy melodies and impressive vocal tones. With cleverly constructed melodies and emotional lyrical depth, this track tackles the elements necessary to make a timeless song.
