Drew Elliott’s “I Hope I Never Leave Your Mind” is out now. Elliott’s calm vocal tendencies are serenading and emotional. The lyrics about hoping to never become a forgotten memory in the mind of a lover are sad, but the line “do what’s best for you, girl” is heartbreaking.
I feel like Elliott really wants what’s best for the person who is the topic of discussion on this track, and that’s what makes the song hit even harder. The track blossoms into a cinematic production breakdown at the end, and it’s as if Elliott is still speaking via the instrumentation.

“Nothing Can Hurt Me,” the new track from Kelly McMichael, John Moran, and Jake Nicoll has been released. The layered vocals create a warm harmonic texture supported by the retro sounding synths.
Something about the track’s dreamy production and melodic progressions is very reminiscent of the likes of Kero Kero Bonito. The track’s energy along with the lyrics make it feel like an escape from reality to a more simple place.

Mini Sants’ collaboration with Arkine, “In the Dark,” feels like a view into the past and future at the same time. The ethereal production is both nostalgic and futuristic. The bridge is emotionally evoking especially with its half timed drums which leave more space for the melodic aspects to take over.
The vocal performance on this track is nothing short of amazing. It’s full of catchy melodies and has a wide melodic range. The simple drums are perfect for this track so listeners can focus their attention on the infectious melodic aspects.

Seafret and KT Tunstall have teamed up for their new track “Five More Seconds.” The energetic Pop anthem features vocals from both artists, which keeps things progressing and ensures the track isn’t sonically constrained.
The lyrics are based around a plea for more time with a lover so that their relationship doesn’t fall apart. The song feels like a hope for their relationship to be rescued with time, and Seafret and KT Tunstall can’t bear to give up just yet because they have something worth fighting for.
“Five More Seconds” is on our All New Indie Pop Playlist now.
