Iggy Mayerov’s new track “Feels Like Yesterday” is out now. The song is a carefully curated fusion of multiple genres, including subtle hints of Country, Alternative, and most prominently, 80s Pop. The contrast between the dreamy anthemic chorus and things like the panned out acoustic guitar makes for a soundscape that gives the impression of a cinematic construct.

The refreshing take on instrumentation feels like an accumulation of the various genres throughout the years. It’s as if the best parts of different genres were all pulled together to form an entirely new one. The heavily reverberated vocals support the dreamy atmosphere and make the track feel even more grand.

“Feels Like Yesterday” is on our All New Indie Pop Playlist.

LonelySmallDude’s new song “(Hi!) Sunflowers fall down from the sky” is a hazy track that blurs the lines of Lo-Fi music. The fairly raw vocals help amplify the emotionally driven lyrics. The beautiful guitar chords are the perfect canvas for LonelySmallDude to paint his catchy melodic vocal licks.

With such a limitless vocal register, it seems like LonelySmallDude has an infinite assortment of melodies at his disposal. The song feels both vague and distinct, with a uniquely curated vibe that’s texturally warm and sonically boundless.

“All We Need (Is the Two of Us)” is the new track from I C Tomkins and Johnny Moth. The romantic anthem for lovers is all about the contentment of a relationship. The lyrics are sung directly to the person in question, implying the listener must feel the same way. The track’s euphoric tendencies engross listeners and makes it very relatable to anybody who has felt the same feelings.

A glistening synth that’s introduced during the bridge is an adequate addition to the track’s instrumentation. The track is easy to listen to in the best way possible. Everything falls in place like a puzzle piece, which makes it a satisfactory listen. The harmonic aspects of this track are so intoxicating they keep me coming back to listen again and again.

Josh Fudge’s “like that.” is a unique take on Dance and Pop. The fast tempo and bouncy drums are very Dance influenced, but the rest of the instrumentation remains fairly moderate in terms of speed. Sporadic synth stabs and occasional top percussion keeps the song progressing forward.

Something about “like that.”, especially the effects on Fudge’s vocals and the track’s percussion, is very redolent of Aminé’s new album 13 Months of Summer. The summer bop is catchy, modest, and emotional without being overbearing. I’d love to hear an entire album of tracks like this.
