Eerie Indiana’s “Kino” is out now. The Alternative Pop fusion of a song is a melodic forte driven by its hazy guitars and excellent vocal performance. Distant lasers and risers along with other various sound effects and reverberation fill in the empty spaces and help the drums support the melodic aspects of the song.

The drums are modest in respect to the rest of the track’s instrumentation, and at no point do they take over or become excessive. I think this helps in maintaining the tranquil vibe of the song. Guitars are panned left and right and piano licks are scattered throughout the background, allowing Indiana’s voice to take over and shine through.

“MANGOES AND RICE,” the new track from Labit, has been released. The peaceful ballad subtly progresses throughout the track’s run time, with new instrumentation being introduced chronologically. Labit’s soothing background vocals compliment his singing and provide a satisfying harmonic structure.

A little more than half way through the song, the drums are finally introduced. They fit like a puzzle piece in the grand scheme of things, and just like Labit’s background vocals, provide a good backing structure to support the focal points of the song. This balmy track is a peaceful song ideal for summer time.

Media House’s new track “Looking Forward” is a unique alternative track that’s both harmonically rich and rhythmically diverse. Gritty guitar tones are mixed into the song perfectly, and while they don’t interrupt other aspects of the track, they are a driving force in the song’s energy. The sudden pickup that introduces the song is recalled during the chorus where the rhythmic structure of the drums gets dialed back. For the verses, the drums maintain a fairly steady rhythm, sticking to the metronome for the most part.

Media House’s vocals are harmonically intriguing. The layered vocals work well in harmony with the guitar tones I mentioned earlier. On top of the tracks harmonically pleasing elements, catchy guitar licks and engrossing vocal phrases provide interesting melodic structures to top everything off.

“Stomp Them Out” is the new Lo-Fi anthem from I Believe in Fantasy. Its heavy drums, which are all we hear when the track begins, remain a prominent factor throughout the track’s duration. Dreamy guitar strums and vocals drenched in effects make for a unique atmospheric soundscape.

The use of filters and subtle reverb and phasers give the track a textural identity. I think something about the tone and melodic structure of the track is reminiscent of more laid back tracks from The Naked and Famous, specifically their song “Girls Like You.” But the Lo-Fi aesthetic and unpredictable chord changes I Believe in Fantasy applies to this track keep listeners on the edge of their seats.

“Stomp Them Out” is on our All New Indie Pop Playlist now.
