A song that fascinated us was “Posing” from Matt Sterling. Lush in soothing bass, this song brings you down to earth. Produced by himself, fans of Dominic Fike and Omar Apollo will connect with this tune immediately. The hook of the guitar is your next earworm. The metallic drum sounds add a nice element to the track.

The simplicity of this track makes it incredibly engaging and charming. The lyrics are full of emotion and relatability. This artist is soon to release his upcoming album, where this track and other singles come from. We love this track and are excited to hear more from his new album.

“Get Up” is the pounding, new, alt-rock title track off of the newest EP from Chicago’s own Getting Started. This song is characterized by an unconventional rhythm, heavy drums, and a gritty, driving guitar arrangement. The instruments work to cultivate a tense musical atmosphere that tightens with every measure behind an emotionally wrought and raspy vocal performance. When the song finally does break, it does so in appropriately climactic fashion. Getting Started puts on a truly cinematic performance with this one. If you like some of Coldplay’s earlier records, but also wish they were a little more distorted, “Get Up” might be perfect for you.
