We love what we’re hearing in “See More,” the second single off of Kiss the Tiger’s upcoming new album Infinite Love. This performative alt-rock banger has it all: punchy drums, a deep thudding bass, fuzzy guitars, limber piano runs, and a powerful vocal arrangement. That’s not even to mention the elegant sax interlude. We definitely hear some new wave influence in this song and, overall, we think it sounds like The B-52’s put through a doom filter.
“Breathe,” is the contemporary new indie rock single from Brooklyn’s finest, Skinny Dippers. This song perfectly captures the human desire to slow down. The verses are quick and evocative of life’s busier moments. The choruses, however, are made up of one repeated word that serves as a calming reminder to the listener: “Breathe.” The guitar-based instrumental arrangement is steady and supportive of the lyrical message, and it also features some simple and refreshing instrumental breaks. This one is a sure thing for fans of bands like The Shins.
“UR KINDA LUV” is the escalating new pop rock single from Alex Ray, who clearly knows a thing or two about how to pace a song. This track starts off lowkey and gentle with a subdued guitar arrangement behind a display of vulnerable lyricism. It then works its way into a dreamy, vocally-impressive pre chorus before reaching the catchy refrain and second verse punch-up, which arrives courtesy of a stellar feature from saywhen. From here, the song develops into a driving rock anthem that flees and carefully leaves the listener wanting more. We sort of hear it as a pleasantly surprising mix between Taylor Swift and Beartooth.
