Swedish duo The Jilted’s new single “Dangerous Liaisons” is a brilliant nostalgic field trip back to the 80s and 90s. The simple yet melodic synth intro could have very well been the theme song for many a TV show. Interestingly that doesn’t stop the track from having a contemporary vibe, shown by the catchy vocals and Miami Vice styled beat.

“Forevermore” the latest release from LA based Foxtails Brigade, is a dreamy, melodic slice of synth pop. The “Hollywood Hills-born daughter of a horror filmmaker and sister of a cult comedian, Foxtails front-girl Laura Weinbach grew up in a household that embraced eccentricity”, and that sense of upbringing can be heard on this track, channeling heavy Lana Del Rey vibes. Melodic with junk yard sounds. Dig it.

South Florida’s Strange New World deliver a psychedelic-tinged folk journey with stylings similar to that of Cat Power in their newest single called “Escape”. The duo maintains an ethos of utilizing analog equipment for their recording process, giving a vintage feel with modern sonic capabilities. The vocals are emotional and dynamic, embellished by an array of dreamy synthesizers and 60s influenced guitars.
