Whatever footwear you consider your “dancing shoes” should be dusted off for the song ‘Revelation’”

The new single “Virginia Woolf” from Dutch artist Som Som is a cosmic ride into the world of danceable indie pop. With a feel and delivery similar to Phoenix or The Strokes, using laid-back purse lipped vocal delivery against a driving rhythm of guitars, drums and lush synthesizers. The familiar sounds are enough to draw you in, and the contemporary flair keeps your level of interest.

Dig the Britpop inspired sounds of the 90s from the English trio Public Order. It certainly sounds like these fellas took a few nods from acts like Stone Roses and Prodigy, especially with their latest release “Joker”. It’s anthemic, catchy and has “new band energy” showcased by a screaming wall of guitars and blister inducing drumming. A band that is a huge supporter of the summer months, give this banger a listen and take it on vacation.

Whatever footwear you consider your “dancing shoes” should be dusted off for the song “Revelation”. The Knocks and Dragonette have tapped Aquarius (of RuPaul’s ‘Drag Race’) for a banger giving off vibes taken from disco, EDM, and new wave. The Giorgio Moroder like intro sets the tone for the dreamy vocals reminiscent of Icona Pop and Charli xcx. Ironically, the bridge section recalls themes from the song “I Don’t Care”, by offering extremely catchy “sing songy” lyrics that are poised for audience participation. Dig the super 80s workplace experience in the very cool lyric video.
