The lush and dreamy warbling Wurlitzer, well placed vocal delay trails, and grooves reminiscent of early Robert Palmer make this bit of ear candy a great companion for car rides or briskly walking.

Picture yourself in an action movie, you are in full sprint, desperately trying to escape the imploding buildings and engulfing dust and dirt clouds – the external sound is muted and the frame is in slow motion. What song would you have playing in the background?

The list of contenders should certainly include “To Have To Hold and To Break” from the Swedish-duo Marble Raft. Anthemic and articulate vocals, beautifully layered chorus-laden guitars, and dreamy synthesizers make this song both familiar and contemporary.

Seattle native Aldous Baker (aka Brodie Cole) delivers an infectiously groovy song designed to bring you out of your daily slump. You won’t be able to resist his new song Acrobat.

Fans of Gary Neumann or Genesis Owusu will appreciate the refreshing take on familiar 80s themes. They’ll love the sultry bass lines and danceability. Its the perfect companion whether you find yourself listening indoors or out.

The Memphis-based duo Isabella & Sebastian’s tribute to Wham’s holiday classic “Last Christmas” is a refreshing take on a song many of us are accustomed to hearing at least 4 times while visiting any given department store after Thanksgiving. It sounds as if Cyndi Lauper and MGMT were co-hosting a holiday party, imbibed in egg nog and hit “record”. The fun level is contagious. These kids got it!
