Indie Underrated – Sasha Adrian, Veronica Lewis, Lynn Rosenblood

Sasha Adrian might want to break out of her Shell, or perhaps she’s trying to crack yours.  No matter how you interpret it, you can’t deny that the Denmark based songwriter is onto something special.  We can hear the classic influence Ani DiFranco mixed with the modern inspiration of Big Thief and Faye Webster.  Sasha Adrian is an undiscovered indie rock star.  Get in early!

One things for certain, Veronica Lewis is clear that it’s Too Late For Tears.  Your new breakup anthem is less about sorry and more about empowerment.  You go girl!  This kind of narrative deserves this kind of emotionally charged performance.  We think it’s a hit for fans of Sharon Van Etten, Soccer Mommy, and girl in red.  The chorus is catchy and addictive, give us more!

Lynn Rosenblood sends out the howl on her recent Wolfcry.  Stylistically she might be the female equilavent of Kurt Vile.  She’s ripe with Velvet Underground style pomp and cool kid swagger.  She’s a hit for fans of Liz Phair, Lucinda Williams, and Juliana Hatfield.  Like them, this rocks meant for counter culture kids who hate commercialism.  Hey that’s us!
