Set the course for a psychedelic midsummer trip.   Joel Jello emulates the experience of discovery in the video for his new single Outside My Window.  There’s something about this representation that suggests he’s willing to imagine it in this world.  It suits the songs namesake.  Look outside and reimagine your surroundings.  It’s a catchy psych pop vibe too, one that should please fans of Tame Impala and MGMT.

Industrial and techno both have a stake in the influence of Chaos, the new single from Stolen.  The band advances this influence into the pop canon courtesy of the lucid vocal.  They cement their stylstistic intentions through the dark demented music video.  The dynamic narrative unravels like a classic B movie horror film, where the source of cultural distress comes via a tape spewing demon.  Damn this is cool.  Wonderfully stylistic and impressively thought out, the video is more than a cheeky idea.  They take it all the way.

If you’re going to cut up a bunch of old train and travel footage and piece it together then the soundtrack should be Trans-Europe 18.  The new single from KEELEY is tailor made for this vibe.  The sensibility screams discovery and technological advancement with a nostalgic reverence meant for this era.  It’s an electro-pop-shoegaze triumph in the spirit of Stereolab or Broadcast.  Travel on!
