REVERIE-blood on your lips
REVERIE puts a unique spin on the style of neon, sugary electro pop that is populating the airwaves nowadays. The Dutch dark pop princess’ new single features her meditating on a toxic relationship and people who weren’t there for her when she needed them. Fans of Billie Eilish’s early work and The Weeknd will love the dark synths, upbeat rhythms and REVERIE’s gorgeous vocals.

Nervous Bride-Anniversary

For a dreamier, more retro feel, we love Nervous Bride’s new single “Anniversary”. Nervous Bride has seriously been making a name for itself with its hypnagogic, left-field take on 80s AOR, with their new track Anniversary showing off their penchant for expressive vocals and hazy instrumentals. The musical arrangement feels like an unearthed Peter Gabriel or Sting track, filtered through the kind of spacey, mid-res production pioneered by bands like Tame Impala, Animal Collective and Yves Tumor.

Proper Youth-Rusty Grand Am

Fans of Cage the Elephant will love Proper Youth’s dark, mellow indie sound. The Brooklyn based indie rock trio has really delivered with their new track, which draws on the group’s common interest of 80s soft rock. Fans of Mk.gee and Cigarettes after Sex will love the dreary yet jangly guitars and the soft baritone vocals, drawing on the songwriting of 80s icons like David Bowie and Roxy Music. This track was recorded in a flurry of musical inspiration as the band holed up in Louisville, gearing up to release their next album.
