Essy-Dream Come True

Moving to a more electronic, hazy direction, Essy’s new track Dream Come True certainly lives up to its title. The musical brainchild of Rachel Braig, this track simultaneously blends indie rock of bands like The Killers with relaxed synth pop of bands like La Roux and Christine and the Queens. Rachel’s carefree yet ethereal vocals really bring the song home as she ranges from a whispered coo through to a soaring soprano in the chorus.

Our final track comes to us from Sparxsea with her new track Daylight. Maine-born singer-songwriter Chelsea Touissant’s new single comes after the end of a tumultuous, years long relationship and the passing of her mother. The pain of loss and trauma bonding finds its way in Chelsea’s astute, insightful lyrics, as they mix with jangly electric guitars and piano melodies that recall the work of Julien Baker.
