SaltyHighway-Waiting On You
Salty Highway’s new single, Waiting on You, shows why he’s a force to be reckoned with in the world of left-of-center R&B. The singer and producer bursts onto the scene with his debut single, a funky blue eyed soul number that blends trippy production with heartfelt songwriting. Salty’s slightly distorted vocals combine with wah wah guitars and hip hop style drums for a unique sound that brings to mind alt-R&B pioneers like Bibio, Jai Paul and Yves Tumor.

Wintur-Resentment

For a more comforting ballad, our last song by Wintur, Resentment, has you covered. The LA based singer and pianist, a recent graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, his emotional, angelic vocals combine with a slightly jazzy piano progression for an indie pop track that will make you shed a tear. The shuffled percussion and guitar flourishes in the chorus recall 80s power pop from John Lennon or Huey Lewis and the News, while the verses feature soft piano and melodic progressions that bring to mind Cavetown.
