Cherry Angel-White Lake (I Like You)

Fans of Clairo and Chappell Roan will love Cherry Angel’s new single, White Lake (I Like You). Cherry’s vocals, drenched in reverb, have an innocence to them that is carried through the lyrics. Cherry sings about a naive, summer romance, as she tells the subject that she likes them. The instrumental has a lighthearted, indie pop vibe, with jangly guitars reminiscent of Mac Demarco’s early work.

Rulitos-Cancion Uno

Rounding out this selection of songs is Rulito’s new track, Cancion Uno. The lead single to the debut EP from the Texas-based singer songwriter demonstrates his love of classic singer-songwriters, as well as modern production. The influence from brooding folk rock such as that of Elliot Smith is evident in the husky, almost whispered vocals, as well as the lush, soft acoustic guitar playing.
