Indigo Mak’s new single Who Heals the Healer? will surely have you on Cloud 9. Indigo’s vocal harmonies are exquisite, as she sings about the struggles of living authentically and refusing to accept what brings the spirit down. Indigo’s vocals give artists like SZA a run for their money, and her songwriting shows wisdom beyond her years.

Produced by NY-based hip hop producer Jedstarr, the production is notable for deviating from Indigo’s usual spacey, synth based sound in favor of a softer folk sound. Punchy hip hop inspired drums are juxtaposed against what sound like mandolins for a creative take on “indie R&B” popularized by artists like Daniel Caesar and Dijon.
