Whirle-Berlin Haircut

Dream pop lovers will adore Whirle’s new single, Berlin Haircut. Brazilian artist Whirle continues to innovate in the post punk, noise rock style with the new track Berlin Haircut. Complimenting the woozy soundscape is a virtuosic vocal with a melody that will stick with you. The music itself is beautiful, with a guitar line that wouldn’t be out of place in a the XX song. Bands like My Bloody Valentine and the Jesus and Mary Chain also come to mind. For as moody as it is, the melody makes it an easy listen and one we keep coming back to.

Ella Galvin-Don’t Look Ahead

Ella Galvin’s new single is an uplifting yet mellow indie pop track. The new track from New York based singer songwriter Ella Galvin serves as the lead single for her new EP The Way it Goes. Ella’s vocals shine on this track as she sings about enjoying a relationship that is unpredictable and listless. She goes back to her jazz roots from the days of performing in fusion bands throughout NYC as she sings over a beat that feels almost R&B inspired, with soft summery guitar chords accompanying her. Fans of Daniel Caesar and Norah Jones will love the soothing, minimalist feel of this song.

Cate Kileva-A Melancholy

Cate Kileva’s new single wraps up this selection with a transfixing groove. The Australian singer/songwriter’s new song is as haunting as it is infectious. Watery, soothing synth pads and growling synth bass are juxtaposed by a fluttering piano melody that comes in and out of the mix as a constant. The drums feel almost trap-inspired, reminiscent of the early music by The Weeknd. Cate’s vocals are feathery with a pinch of sadness, really giving a new meaning to the title.
