The newest single from Canadian rapper and internet sensation Dax is a turn away from his usual hip hop style, in exchange for a softer alternative pop ballad about the trials of being a man in modern society. Dax’s lyrics paint a picture of the struggles that young men have to go through and the challenges of living up to traditional masculinity. The arrangement is sparse, with clean electric guitars accompanying him. This track carries over the themes of Dax’s 2023 single “To Be a Man” featuring Darius Rucker (of Hootie and the Blowfish fame). This track is an essential listen for any young man trying to find their way in the world.

Jakke, matty co.-Shallow Mold

Jakke’s new track is sure to have you on your feet. The newest single from the American indie artist is a perfect blend of dance pop and emo, with a modern spin. The track features dark, gloomy synthesizers and spiccato strings that give the song a cinematic feel reminiscent of later-era Radiohead. The drum pattern is frantic, with an electronic sound similar to the work of Fred again… The vocals are light and have a feeling of angst over the love they’ve lost.
