Country and blues lovers will surely find a home for the new track from Seven and Counting, Tonight. The Croatian-based 9 piece band specializes in good old fashioned blues, with a distinctly soulful feel. The track is a fun, uplifting tune with vocals from the full band. The songwriting is classic, with a chorus that begs to question whether the subject will be home tonight.
The arrangement calls to mind many of the iconic rock n roll acts of the 70s, such as The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and many more. The instrumental is a bluesy shuffle with a country feel, that is supported by growling pianos and light drumming. Female vocalists back up the lead vocal, with an inflection that feels almost like an old doo wop vocal style. Warm, melodic saxophone lines fill out the arrangement near the end and bounce off of the gritty guitars well.
