It’s all about perspective.  The sentiment has never rung more true, especially when it comes to the element of hero worship.  The Trusted take on this concept convincingly on their single Gimme Your Devotion.  They explore that dynamic through examining an engagement between a celebrity and their devoted fan.  In this new backwards reality full of corporate sponsored envy we fully endorse this narrative, one that peels back the facade on what keeps us in place.  The age of acceleration, stuck in place so we can chase arbitrary gains.

The band lets their sonic fury blossom in a way that recalls the classic inspiration of U2 in the same manner that it influenced their brethren Inhaler.    It’s just one highlight from their new EP Lost Soul, a five song triumph that molds their sound while tastefully citing additional influences like The Strokes and more classically Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Wesley Dean and his family toured America in an RV during the hottest summer on record.  That detail is how the artist greets you on the onset of his new video Don’t Look Back.  It Segways to a charming moment with his son giving a tour of the RV before evolving into shots from the road.

Both the towns he visited and the places he played have a rare Americana reverence, all encapsulating the vibe that permeates from this gold rust trailblazer.  The images mirror the lyrics lust for life narrative.  A song for people who adore dream chasing and embracing love despite all costs. Yolo.

Wesley Dean – Don’t Look Back

We were enwrapped by the noir poetic magnetism seen in the dramatic gaze of the lead actor in the opening moments of Elise, the new single from DALVA

Her dance motions are intoxicating.  They blend convincingly with the aura of the music, a mix of 90s trip hop and modern electro in a way that recalls French innovators Christine and the Queens.  We simply adore it. Check it out.
