KI To caught our attention with their new single West (ft Delorians).  The single is a heavy dose of dreamy intoxicating chill pop.  In the chorus the melody adapts with catchy nostalgic brilliance.  You can lose yourself to this vibe grab on to every lyrical cue.  Ki To wrote this song while lost on the dating merry-go-round.  There’s a serenity to this vibe, one that honors the lyrics foolishness while finding some solace in its innocent playfulness.  It’s all fun and games as long as no one gets hurt.

Stylistically we hear the dream pop appeal of Beach House with some added nostalgic flair that could connect with fans of synthwave.  West fittingly wades between two genre worlds, offering it credible crossover potential.  Whether you need an 80s throwback or a dreamy escape, KI TO has you covered.

Larches broke through with the inspiring charm of their single Birthday.  The single is just one highlight of their new release Attack of the Telephones.  On Birthday the band embraces a Beatles influence with a modern indie sensibility akin to Dr Dog.  It’s just one flavor from their dense stylistic scope.

Attacks of the Telephones is a big sonic statement full of gitchy synths and big eruptions.  That sonic statement evolves out of the progressive appeal of the opening single Vessels.  As a whole the album flaunts their eclectic nature.  The sonic textures and melodic tendencies stay within a relative range, its always them, but its never derivative.  For example, on songs like Call It Your Artwork they display an affinity for kaleidoscope psychedelic pop.  The single Fashionable shows an affinity for slacker rock projects like Mac Demarco.

With eclectic whiplashes the Seattle band stays true to their cities underground legacy, embracing influences from The Pixies to 90s cult heroes Elephant Six.  Overall it’s an effective broad indie pop project where every song lives in its own sonic world.  We think it’s great.

Pilar Victoria – All Good Things (Come To An End)

Pilar Victoria has a sensual voice to match her exotic nature.  Both are on full display in the video for her cover of Nelly Furtado’s All Good Things (Come To An End).  This intoxicating indie pop gem has a hypnotic affect.  Pilar’s entrancing demeanor adds to the illusion.  We love the twist she brings to adapt Furtado’s version new.  Check out the video above!
