Slightest Clue caught our attention with their new single Suit Uptight! A proper full band release, the band keeps the arrangement interesting, adapting the vocals and lead guitar work throughout. It brings nice surprise and some progressive variation that really grabs you. The performance is full of energy and some raw fury in the form of aggressive guitar playing and doses of inspired vocal rage.
Stylistically they bridge the gap between The Strokes, Fontaines DC, and Arctic Monkeys. It’s a testament to their catchy compositional instincts within an underground punk inspired vibe. For us Slightest Clue appeals to a wide scope of fans. Both indie punk and indie rock fans will delight in their catchy raw fury.
