Void Pleasantries know that within their journey as a band every moment matters.  For their new album When In Rome, they take the best from their first two EP’s and add some sequencing tweaks, while also including some new songs.  That detail gives the title significance in practice, as this is a common practice when bands get signed to majors.  It also reflects the album’s artists ethos, as the project reflects how their sound has grown up.

Stylistically we hear elements of classic grunge blended with 2000’s era rock and some modern indie flavor.  It’s heard in the Perfect Circle meets Incubus arrangement of Be the Hunted.  We also hear elements of Alice In Chains and Nirvana on songs like Emerald.  Their breakout single No Good Reason is like a heavier version of REM, while their song I Will Name It adapts all of theses vibes with more pop rock flavor.  It’s an eclectic blend that collectively tags an alternative rock canon, a reflection of their influences combined effectively on this impressive full album debut.  Checkout When In Rome!
