The Pulltops drop a dark catchy rock hit with their new single Wide Awake. This Milwaukee based duo bonded over their record collections, an experience that highlighted their polarizing inclinations. Drummer Mark Pierret is more of a soul and country fan while guitarist Tom Crowell leans more experimental underground. The Pulltops blend their influences well, with classic soul infecting the driving drum sounds while Mark offers an 80s alternative influence to the musical soup.

Whether it be the cascading rhythm design or emotional release heard in the infectious hook, Wide Awake honor its namesake.
