The spirit of folk punk thrives on DXCPC Live Vol. 22. This is a seriously cool community based release project that celebrates punk music while offering great cross exposure to the artists it features. Vol. 22 features two folk punk artists from Orlando, Fl and two from Tennessee! All of them bring their own individual flair: Sticky Steve is pop punk inspired, Jacob Danielsen-Moore brings the folk traditions of the Appalachian Mountains to his music, Borrowed Sparks incorporates that Nashville country sound, and Dougie Flesh mixes in some psychobilly.
We love the entire concept and for us its inception and missions is an important part of its story.
DCxPC Live came into inception during the pandemic when live shows went to livestreams. They released the audio as live albums on vinyl with covers that pay homage to the VMLive album covers of the 1990’s. After the pandemic this evolved into live album compilations that feature both past and new performances from various bands in the punk scene. Vol 22 is their first full folk punk release. Vinyl Heads pay attention! These albums have rare value. Get it while you can.
