“I’ve been searching in the depths of my heart, I’ve been trying to start, but I feel like I’ve been getting further away.”
A flurry of vulnerability and doubt drives the observed imbalance of Theme II, the new single from Tilda Allie. Illuminated by a companion film, the collective release lands like a an entrapped vision.
The isolation of this natural oasis comforts in contrast to the presumed real world intrusions, cleverly conceptualized in the surprise magazine and business casual costume change. “I am perfect as I am.” The sentiment adds to the theme on its own merit but performed with such passion and raw emotion, Tilda Allie emphasizes the desperation of this moment. An industrial takeover looms, leaving our protagonist lost and defeated. “It’s way too much for me.”
And so it is that she is absorbed by that element from which all life derives, to lend her body to its nurturing or to poison the well. For in her history, a wrath finds its future, as either a symbol for the awoken or a ghostly specter to roam this sacred place. Theme II is absolutely beautiful in every way. The artist herself offering her gorgeous vocal talents within the wash of atmosphere that wades over this dream pop ambient design.
