Kid Lazuras creates their own musical Utopia.  The title of their new 12 song album, Utopia is a dense stylistic work.  Whether it be the 60s retro psychedelic flash of You Find, the dark moody rock of Men Of God, or the pensive Floydish progressive feel of Fall For The Break, Utopia exists in many different worlds.

The album unfolds like a story lead by its two singers.  It’s more of a shared narrative than a musical conversation, one that features their unique perspective within this sonic world.  Stylistically we hear a diverse scope of influence, from Black Sabbath to Pink Floyd, from Radiohead to Dubstep.  Like them all Utopia is epic and fairly twisted.

An array of dark delusional fantasies add depth to the collective work.  It’s heard on pieces like Immaterial and RefugeKid Lazarus drops a proper album in the era of singles.  For that we are grateful.
