Alan Dweck gets real on his new single Lockdown Song.  Most of us experienced it and Dweck offers a proper tribute to immortalize the experience.  Lockdown in the age of advancement hits different, prisoners of our private suburban castles succumbing to a new intergalactic loneliness.  Like we’re trapped on some distant planet left to our lonesome despite the skies endless beauty.  Dweck captures that vibe effectively.

The patient rhythmic piano design and lyrical flow recalls the works of John Lennon’s 70s solo material.  We also hear a semblance of Chris Isaak in the melodic sensibility.  Dweck doesn’t quite have Iaask’s trademark vibrato, but he injects emotional conviction in the performance effectively.  Lockdown Song is believable, and it feels like it understand the insanity of it all.  As it should.

Lockdown Song is featured on our Indie Underrated Playlist.
