Jen Lush has continued to amaze us with her new single, Icon. The newest release from a favorite here at Indie Underrated, Jen Lush has really delivered with the second single from her new album “Hum of the Mettle” which is to be released August 18th. Interpreting lyrics written by Australian poet Maria Zajkowski, Jen’s vocals are on full display here, with a beautiful performance that elicits a wide array of emotions from every word.

The arrangement carries on the style of ambient, pastel indie folk that Lush has continued to put out. Jen’s vocals are supported by a beautiful arrangement featuring lightly plucked acoustic guitars and soaring electric guitar lines. The production really brings the song to life and is perfect for those who are looking for music to relax to.
