Fans of classic stadium rock will love SJ Denney’s new song, Tread Carefully. The singer-songwriter has really delivered with his new single, a self produced track certain to get you feeling hyped up. SJ sings about finding a foothold in life and figuring out the path that works for him. The track has an uplifting and motivational message, and is perfect as the push someone needs to get through the day.
Production wise, the track recalls much of the 80s pop rock that dominated the radio airwaves. Shimmery guitars and jazzy saxophone lines play off of the vocal and add support to SJ’s lyrics. Towards the second half of the song, the saxophone erupts into a smooth, slinky solo that wouldn’t be out of place on a Steely Dan record.
