Casey Wells has really caught our attention with his new single, Keep it Coming. The South Carolina artist has really delivered with the lead single off his new album, Impermanence, which released July 27th of this year. This track is a gorgeous, groovy soft rock track that feels straight out of the 70s. Casey Wells’ angelic falsetto takes front and center with lyrics that talk about being willing to take on what life gives him.
The production is a lush throwback to the soft rock of the 70s. Layers upon layers of guitars fill the arrangement, with a rich, deep baseline giving the track some nice low end. The songwriting and arrangements call to mind classic acts like Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan. On the production and mix side, acts like Tame Impala and the 1975 seem to be influences as well.
