Credit Electric-House of Cancer

Credit Electric has really delivered with their new single, House of Cancer. The woozy, psychedelic track is the most recent single from Credit Electric, who are hot off the presses of their 2022 record, “out of love in the face of a shadow”. The track would gel wonderfully with the bedroom pop popular with young music fans today, with Credit Electrics’ garbled vocals that swim throughout the track and almost sound like an instrument in and of itself. Instrumentally, the song features a lush soundscape with hushed synthesizers, choked out electric guitars and an 808 breakbeat. Near the latter half of the song, saxophones flutter through the mix that almost sound like a sample, sure to give any listener the chills.

Booster Club-Set Down

Booster Club has really caught our attention with their new single, Set Down. The NC based act, whose music is inspired by the college rock of the 80s and 90s, have delivered with this track, the first off their new EP, Brace. The track is a slow, aggressive alt rock song with elements of grunge in the arrangement. Fans of acts like Linkin Park and the Foo Fighters will be sure to find a spot for this song in their rotation.

Lane Line-Time and Space

Our final track comes from Seattle based bedroom pop act Lane Lines. The second single from their upcoming sophomore album, Lucid Dreaming, Lane Lines is the brain child of Mandi L Kimes, who wanted to bring the dreary lyrics of emo with a lofi bedroom pop sensibility to the scene. The track features a ping ponging drum beat, vocal harmonies and shrieking electric guitars on the chorus. This track features the energy of Rex Orange County and Arctic Monkeys, with lyrics that touch on mental health struggles and sobriety.
