The Detroit based dream pop duo have really delivered with their new single from their highly anticipated debut album, “Garden of Hearts”. Claire Bluhm, the group’s lead vocalist, communicates the complications of navigating through relationships and the complex nature of human emotions beautifully. Listeners will be able to relate to Bluhm’s sensitive, introspective lyricism that is expressed beautifully through Bluhm’s angelic vocals.
The production is a sparse, psychedelic track perfect for the “slowed and reverbed” era of music. Washed out guitars strum a meditative progression, anchored by a thump baseline and light, driving drums. The song mostly keeps this arrangement throughout, with an emphasis on building a chill vibe for the track.
