Alex Lipinski’s been building on the buzz he’s gotten with this new single, Idiot Station. Fresh off his European tour with Marc Almond, Alex Lipinski has really delivered with his new single. Produced by long time Elvis Costello collaborator, Michael Smith, the track is a self aware satirical track on vacuous modern culture. Lipinski’s vocals are bright with a tone that is reminiscent of Billy Joe Armstrong.

The production is a brash, glam rock inspired jam that blends the styles of older photo punk bands like the Stooges and Velvet Underground with the garage rock of the 2000s of bands like the Strokes and Black Keys. The guitars are overdriven and the drums provide a strong, fast paced backbeat. With a track as groovy as this one, it’s no wonder Alex Lipinski has built the momentum he has, having had accolades from accomplished artists like Liam Gallagher and Bonehead.
