We can’t stop listening to Love Outlier’s new single, Alligator. The second single from the act, Love Outlier is an emo/post punk band delivering a euphoric love song with this track. The vocals are slightly distorted, with an angsty twang to them that tell the story of a toxic relationship. The vocals draw to mind artists like Julian Casablancas and Jeff Buckley.
The track is built primarily on acoustic guitars, that give almost an alternative folk feel with the production with a slight punk sensibility. As the track progresses, it expands to soft, hushed piano and legato violins. The production draws to mind artists like Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver, and the production perfectly compliments the powerfully emotional vocals in the chorus
